Weight Loss Surgery
By Brian Gallichan
Weight loss surgery is becoming increasing popular in this era where seemingly anything can be fixed through medical procedures.
Weight loss surgery exists in many forms including stomach stapling, gastric bypass, stomach wrapping, biliopancreatic diversion, truncal vagotomy, jejunocolic bypass, and lap band insertion.
It is not necessary to understand what each of these terms means. However, it is necessary to understand the risks and side effects that come with weight loss surgery.
Almost one hundred percent of all weight loss surgery patients experience at least one side effect.
Weight loss surgery side effects include vomiting, abdominal cramps, heartburn, wound infection, internal infection, chest pain, and a host of other side effects.
Diseases that are likely to result from weight loss surgery include liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, and blood disease.
If a person were to undergo weight loss surgery, he would only be trading one health problem for other, more serious health problems.
Weight loss surgery does not treat the cause of obesity. Weight loss surgery is only a quick cosmetic fix.
People who have weight loss surgery often do not lose as much weight as they want to, and some people even end up continuing to gain weight. The reason for this is because weight loss surgery does not teach a person the facts about weight loss.
If a person wants to lose weight, he must make up his mind that he is going to lose weight, and he must then focus his efforts on eating properly and exercising intensely.
