Nutrition Mistakes and Misunderstandings

Nutrition mistakes are numerous in this day and age. Unfortunately, men and women blindly accept what they hear or read without attempting to study the issue on their own.
This is the reason there are so many horrendous nutrition mistakes and misunderstandings floating around today. This article addresses a couple of the most common nutrition mistakes and misunderstandings.
First off, there is no pill, powder, potion or Popsicle that will force your body to burn fat without any work on your part.
Some of the supplements on the market will cause your body to burn fat more readily than it would otherwise burn fat, but it is up to you to continue with a low calorie diet and intense weightlifting program.
You must remember that you are in control of how much weight you lose. Supplements will not lose weight for you. They will only make it easier for you to lose weight.
Another nutrition blunder is the idea that eating fat will make a person fat, and that cutting out all dietary fat will make a person lose weight. But, fat does not make a person fat.
The only way a person can gain weight is for him to eat more calories than he burns. Eating fat helps a person lose weight because many of the vitamins that assist the body in losing weight only absorb into the body with the assistance of fat.
Also, eating fat speeds the metabolism which will cause the body to burn more calories throughout the day.
