Grocery Shopping for Weight Loss
By Brian Gallichan
Grocery shopping for weight loss can be a difficult task, especially when all the advertisements seem to be pointing us toward the items that are traditionally known as fattening foods.
The truth is that the more items you eat from the produce isle, the more weight you will lose, and the quicker you will lose it.
Every isle besides the produce isle is fighting against you, and will work to your weight loss demise if you are not careful.
However, no matter which isle you shop, always remember that weight loss is all about total calorie consumption. Below are some tips for weight loss grocery shopping.
Weight loss is halted by certain additives that are added to foods. One of the additives that will cause you to gain weight and experience a multitude of other ailments is aspartame.
Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that can cause you to gain a serious amount of weight.
Other additives that are extremely dangerous and may be contrary to weight loss include stevia, sodium nitrate, Saccharin, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, and all food colorings such as blue 1 and red 3.
Weight loss is stifled by the consumption of sodium. Sodium will cause you to be bloated and to retain water. In order for your body to flush the sodium from your cells, you must have enough potassium in your system.
So, if you choose to consume foods with large amounts of sodium, try to include avocados and bananas in your diet as well so that the sodium will be properly released from your cells.
