Goals and Weight Loss
By Brian Gallichan
Weight loss goals are specific intentions of a person to lose weight. By setting weight loss goals, a person has a road map to where he wants to end up, as far as body weight and fitness are concerned.
Weight loss goals serve to keep a person on track toward his ideal body weight, and tend to motivate him to stick with his fitness routine and good eating habits.
Weight loss goals also help a person to build discipline in his life. This article deals with effective weight loss goal setting.
Weight loss goals are met by the continual performance of small tasks on a regular basis. Weight loss can happen quickly, but it will not happen at all if a person does not meet his daily weight loss goals.
Make sure that there is something you are doing every single day that is conductive to your weight loss goal.
Maybe your daily goal is to skip the potato chips at lunch. The point is that you should have one goal that you continue to meet every single day.
Goals should be written down on paper so that you can easily refer back to them at any time. Make sure that your goal is clear and specific.
Maybe your goal is to lose ten pounds this month. If this is the case, then write that down. Do not simply write that you want to lose a lot of weight this month. You must be able to look back and see whether you met each specific goal.
