Eating Throughout the Day

 Weight loss will happen naturally when a person eats fewer calories than his body requires for the maintenance of his current body weight. No exercise is needed to lose weight this way.

However, without an intense workout routine, weight loss results will be severely limited. In any case, to lose weight, a person should eat several smaller meals throughout the day instead of only a couple of larger meals.

The most important reason to eat several smaller meals throughout the day is that this will increase your metabolism naturally.

When you eat frequently, your body notices that it is being fed many times a day, and automatically begins burning calories at an accelerated rate, so as to prevent the storage of body fat.

When you only eat three meals a day, your body thinks that it is not being fed enough calories for survival. So, your body converts most of the calories it receives into body fat.

The idea is that your body thinks it will need a surplus of energy to use just in case the food runs out.

Another reason that eating throughout the day is beneficial is that digestion depletes a lot of energy. By eating only two or three larger meals per day, your body will always be sluggish and trying to digest large amounts of food.

Whereas, by eating five or six smaller meals throughout the day, your body will easily digest the food and absorb the nutrients, always feeling awake and energized.
